100. Zinc white

Zinc White is an oil paint based on zinc oxide, with a cool, clean white hue. It is semi-transparent and has low covering power. Compared with Titanium White, it lightens mixtures more gently and is less likely to overpower the original colour. Thanks to its low tinting strength, it is well suited to subtle colour nuances and smooth transitions. It is particularly effective for delicate light layers, creating atmospheric haze, soft flesh tones, smooth gradients, cool highlights, and glazing techniques. It typically dries slowly and leaves a matt or semi-matt finish. It is best suited to fine multilayer painting.
