200. Cadmium yellow light

Cadmium Yellow Light is a bright, vivid light mid-yellow with a warm undertone. Compared with Strontium Yellow, Bismuth Yellow, and Cadmium Lemon, it has a warmer colour character, while retaining excellent clarity and saturation both when used neat and in mixtures.

The paint is opaque, with high tinting strength, allowing it to exert a strong influence on colour mixtures even in small amounts. It spreads evenly across the surface, while its rich consistency makes it equally suitable for creating smooth painterly transitions, retaining expressive brushstrokes, or working in impasto. Ideal for bright highlights, mixing with reds to produce rich orange tones, with blues for natural greens, and with violets for more complex muted and neutral mixtures.
