203. Cadmium lemon (HUE)

Cadmium Lemon (Hue) is an oil paint with a bright, light yellow hue with a subtle cool greenish undertone. It is semi-transparent and offers high colour intensity, producing clean, fresh, and luminous colour mixtures. As a modern equivalent of traditional Cadmium Lemon, it recreates the characteristic clarity and cool character of the original shade while providing excellent colour stability. It is particularly well suited to painting spring foliage, illuminated areas of landscapes, floral subjects, reflected light, and cool highlights. Its semi-transparency makes it equally effective for classical multilayer painting, delicate glazing, and subtle colour transitions, preserving the purity and freshness of colour. It typically dries at a moderate rate and leaves a finish ranging from matt to slightly satin. It is a versatile cool yellow for creating light, clean, and harmonious colour compositions.
