207. Strontium yellow

Strontium Yellow is an oil colour with a clean, light yellow hue of a cool lemon tone. Its high colour intensity allows it to produce fresh, vibrant colour mixtures, particularly when combined with greens and blues. It is well suited for depicting spring foliage, sunlight, floral subjects, illuminated areas of the landscape, and atmospheric effects. It performs equally well in impasto applications and in thin paint layers, allowing for smooth colour transitions and a natural sense of depth. It typically dries at a moderate rate and forms a durable, flexible paint film. A versatile light yellow for creating fresh, clean, and natural colour harmonies.
