222. Naples flesh

Naples Flesh is an oil paint with a soft, warm flesh-toned pinkish-beige hue, close to natural skin tones. Thanks to the presence of a blend of pigments and whites in its composition, it offers excellent covering power and a gentle tinting strength, allowing mixtures to be adjusted delicately without dramatically changing their character. Compared with more saturated pink or ochre shades, its tone appears more muted, natural, and balanced. It is particularly well suited to painting flesh tones, warm highlights, soft reflections, atmospheric transitions, and complex pastel hues. It performs especially well in classical multilayer painting, underpainting, and subtle modelling of form. It typically dries at a moderate rate and leaves a finish ranging from matt to slightly satin. It is a versatile shade for creating soft, natural colour harmonies.
