Flesh is an opaque oil colour with a soft, light yellow-pink hue. Compared with Yellow Pale, it has a noticeably warmer character thanks to its subtle rosy undertone, making it particularly useful for depicting natural skin tones, sunlit architectural details and gentle pastel passages. Its reliable covering power allows artists to establish smooth light areas while building convincing tonal relationships throughout a painting. It mixes cleanly with ochres, siennas, umbers, reds and whites, producing natural flesh tones and warm cream mixtures with ease.
