302. Cadmium red light (HUE)

Cadmium Red Light (Hue) is an oil paint with a bright, warm red-orange hue with a soft scarlet undertone. It is semi-transparent and offers high colour intensity, producing clean, vibrant, and richly saturated colour mixtures. As a modern equivalent of traditional Cadmium Red Light, it recreates the characteristic brilliance and warmth of the original shade while providing excellent colour stability. It is particularly well suited to painting sunlit highlights, floral subjects, still lifes, decorative compositions, bold accents, and warm passages in landscapes. Its semi-transparency makes it equally effective for classical multilayer painting, delicate glazing, and body colour work, preserving both the brilliance and depth of colour.
