376. Naples coral

Naples Coral is an oil paint with a soft, warm coral-pink hue with a delicate orange-peach undertone. Thanks to the presence of both Titanium White and Zinc White in the blend, it offers excellent covering power and a gentle tinting strength, allowing mixtures to be adjusted and softened delicately without dramatically altering their character. Compared with more saturated coral or orange-pink pigments, its tone appears more muted, natural, and well balanced. It is particularly well suited to painting warm flesh tones, sunlit reflections, soft highlights, atmospheric transitions, pastel shades, and subtle colour modelling. It performs especially well in classical multilayer painting, body colour work, underpainting, and modelling of form. It typically dries at a moderate rate and leaves a finish ranging from matt to slightly satin. It is a versatile shade for creating warm, soft, and vibrant colour harmonies.
